2022 Lake Athens Fly Fishing Contest Rules. Send Photos to:
Friday June 10th, 2022 Time: 5 PM to 7 PM.
Sunfish Challenge Contest: Catch, Photo and Release competition.
Registration opens 90 minutes before contest begins.
Contestants must check in and register before beginning contest to receive rules and ID tag.
Only Fly Rods and Flies with Barbless hooks may be used. NO LIVE BAIT.
Fishers must use Smart Phone with camera.
Fishers must use provided fish ruler to measure fish, fishes mouth must touch zero marker and tail being pulled to length with measure marks and Fishers ID mark must be clearly visible.

Challenge: Catch all 5 Species.
1. Bluegill
2. Long Ear Sunfish
3. Red Ear Sunfish
4. Green Sunfish
5. Copper Nose
Get them All, Grand Slam. If no one gets the Grand Slam, prize will be awarded to next highest catch. Ties will be determined by inches. So Send in Pics Immediately and accurately.

Registration and check in starts at 5:30 am
Fly Fishing Bass Challenge Contest: Catch, Photo and Release competition.
BIGGEST Largemouth Bass > MOST Largemouth Bass.
Contestants must check in and register before beginning contest to receive rules and ID tag.
Only Fly Rods and Flies with barbless hooks may be used. NO LIVE BAIT OR CONVENTIONAL GEAR.
Fishers must use Smart Phone with camera.
Fishers must use an approved fish ruler or provided fish ruler to measure fish, fishes mouth must touch zero marker and tail being pulled to length with measure marks and Fishers ID mark must be clearly visible.

Challenges: Largemouth Bass Only
BIG BASS - Largest Largemouth Bass.
· Measurement photos must be clearly visible as this may be a tight competition.
· Fishers must use a regulation fish ruler to measure fish, fishes mouth must touch zero marker and tail being pulled to length with measure marks and Fishers ID mark must be clearly visible.
· Judges will round up to next half inch.
Keep Fishing- All Photos submitted will be recorded and tallied by judges.
KEEP FISHING ITS NOT OVER, TIL ITS OVER….
LONGEST STRINGER of Largemouth Bass Caught.
· Send in a photo of each Bass caught as soon as you catch. This score will be updated in real time.
· No duplicate photos. Any photos deemed duplicate will be disqualified by judges.

3 divisions: One winner Boat division.
One winner Kayak (Small Craft) division.
